State
Meet Qualifying Standards: The Sac-Joaquin Section qualifies
two (2) teams
plus five (5) individuals from the boys varsity and girls
varsity races in each
division. A division must have at least eight (8) teams
participating in the Section
meet to qualify two (2) teams to the State meet. Otherwise,
said division will
qualify only one team to the State meet. The individual
qualifiers must finish in
the top 12 in their race to qualify for the State meet.
The California State
Championships will be held November 24, 2001 at Woodwar
d Park in Fr esno.
Coaches note that the standards for state qualifying are
different than the above
awards structure.
All
teams that meet the following qualifying team time standards
will advance to
the State meet:
BOYS:
Div. I: 82:41
Div. II: 83:48
Div. III: 84:46
Div. IV: 85:49
Div. V: 88:52
NOTE: A team time will not qualify your team if the team
ahead of you did not
qualify.
Locker
rooms: Locker room facilities are not available. Please
come to the meet
dressed to compete.
Concessions: A concession stand will be available. Water
will be pr ovided on the
course (if necessary).
T-Shirts: T-Shirts will be available for $13.00 the day
of the meet.
We Are Guests: PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE GUESTS OF SIERRA
COLLEGE. School is in session - stay out of classroom
area! Our use of the facility
is contingent upon our continued good conduct. NO RADIOS
PLEASE!!! Each
team is responsible to clean up its area. Garbage bags
will be issued to each school
to help with the clean-up.
Restricted areas: No athletes or spectators will be allowed
on the football field or
the football bleachers. Coaches are responsible for their
teams area.

Awards CeremonyImmediately Following
Times approximatemost of previous race will clear
before next start, but races may start ahead of scheduled
time. We will not wait until scheduled time if we are
ahead.
J.V. RULE: The boys and girls JV races are
open to athletes who are not part of their varsity top
five (5). If a school does not enter its top five (5)
in the varsity division, it is not allowed any entry in
the JV division.
