April 23, 2011  Halden Invitational – Meet Information

Facilities
Davis Senior High School; 315 West 14th Street; Davis, CA 95616
Davis High recently renovated the entire stadium complex, including the restrooms, bleachers, concessions and an eight-lane all-weather track.  Please use _ inch pyramid spikes on the track and runways.  The throwing facility – brushed concrete – is located on the field north of the track.

Start Times
The Sprint/Hurdle Fest begins at 10am; The Distance Carnival begins at 5pm; We will move through the events in as fast as we can.  Regardless when we finish the sprint/hurdle fest, we will not begin the Distance Carnival before 5pm.  Field Events begin at 10am.  Refer to the “order of events” for specific field event start times.

Timing
Fully-Automatic Timing will be provided by Redcap Timing.  Live results will be posted during and after the meet at http://redcaptiming.com.  After the meet, we will also dump all results back into athletic.net.

Registration/Entry Guidelines
Entries will be done through athletic.net.  In order to enter and compete, schools must first be confirmed by the meet director.  Email Coach Spencer Elliott s to reserve a spot for your team.

Entry Limits:
Sprints/Hurdles – 5 per event;
Field Events – 3 per event;
Distances – unlimited entries;
Relays – 1 team per event

Honesty: Don’t exaggerate times and marks, and please don’t make predictions.  Use marks accomplished this year.

Entry Deadline
All entries are due in athletic.net no later than Tuesday, April 19th at 11:59pm (midnight).

Entry Fee
$200.00 per school; $75.00 per division; $10.00 per athlete
Payments are due on or before meet day.  If you intend to mail your entry fee, please allow enough time for you payment to arrive prior to April 23.  Make checks payable to Davis High School Track and Field.

Team Packets
Team packets will be available at the coach/athlete entrance to the stadium.  Entry fees must be paid to receive team packets.  The packets will include athlete bibs and four coach wristbands.

Substitutions
We will not add new athletes after the close of entries on Wednesday.  Important: Substitutes already entered in different events may wear their own bibs.  Substitutes not entered in another event must wear the entered athlete’s bib. 

Awards
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each event along with the winning relay teams.  There will be an awards table near the finish line, and awards will be available approximately 15 minutes following the event.  Awards will not be mailed, so make sure you pick up your awards before the conclusion of the meet.

Parking
Parking is free, and the lot is located on Oak Street, next to the stadium.  Additional parking is located on 14th street, next to the tennis courts.

Spectator Admission
$5.00 general; $3.00 for students with ID; $3.00 for senior citizens

T-shirts/Concessions
We will have t-shirts and food for sale.

Opening Heights
We will determine opening height after entries have closed.

Team Tents
Team tents will be allowed in the bleachers and on the North field along the fence.  Please do not place tents in places that will obstruct one’s view – Place tents at the top of the bleachers.  Be sure to anchor your tents securely.

Trainer
We will have a trainer available.
